Real estate law
by someone who's closed the deals.
I have been in Nevada real estate since 1987 and practiced law here since 1998. I have been a licensed broker since 2005. I have bought and sold more than 2.2 million acres of land in the United States and Brazil, and I was a principal in a 10,000-acre master-planned community for over twenty years.
That's not background. It's the reason I see things in a file that other lawyers don't.
Most real estate lawyers have never closed a deal. They read the contract, they don't read the property. On the disputes side, that shows up as advice that sounds right on paper and falls apart the minute a broker, an appraiser, or a lender is in the room.
Practice
Two sides of the same practice
Transactions and development
Deals where the goal is to get to closing on the right terms — not to end up in court later arguing about what the paper meant.
- Purchase and sale
- Zoning and land use
- Master-planned communities
- Land banking
- Commercial leasing
Disputes
When a transaction has already gone sideways — a co-owner won't sell, a partner won't perform, a seller misrepresented, a neighbor claims the line.
- Partition actions
- Real estate fraud
- Partnership disputes and partner exits
- Title and boundary disputes
- Easements
- HOA disputes
Pillar practice
Partition Actions — force the sale of co-owned property
Real estate fraud
Chris was lead counsel in a six-day real estate fraud trial and obtained a verdict for his client.

How I work
No panels. No junior associate. You call and you get me.
01
A short call
Fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough to say whether you have a real problem, a paperwork problem, or no problem at all. That call is free.
02
Read the file
Contracts, plats, title, entitlements, correspondence. Before I give you an opinion, I read what actually exists — not what someone told you it says.
03
A direct recommendation
You get one lawyer's opinion, in writing when it matters, about the cheapest path to the result you want. Litigation is one option. It is rarely the first one.
